Blue Moon Cajun Cafe Opens for Business in Bridge City

Afresh chapter is beginning at 2045 Texas Ave in Bridge City as Cheri Hunt and Taylor officially take the reins as the proud new owners of Blue Moon Cajun Cafe. With deep family roots and a passion for Southern hospitality, this mother-daughter duo is ready to serve up your favorite Cajun flavors with a heartfelt, homegrown touch.

Cheri and her husband, Ken, have been married for 42 years and are proud parents to four children and grandparents to nine. Together, they opened the beloved That One Place in Atascocita, Texas, over 13 years ago—earning loyal fans with their famous crawfish and New Orleans-style shaved ice. Taylor, a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M University, has played a key role in the family business ever since. She and her husband Dallin are raising two children and bring the same spirit of service and hospitality to their work.

The transition to Blue Moon Cajun Cafe began the very week Taylor’s son was born—a sign, perhaps, of meaningful beginnings. After months of planning and dedication, Cheri and Taylor are now in the final stretch, preparing to reopen the local favorite once known as Judice’s Cajun Cafe under its new name.

Blue Moon Cajun Cafe invites the Bridge City community to stay tuned for their grand opening and to stop in to meet the new faces behind the familiar flavors. With a legacy of quality, community, and Cajun cooking, Cheri and Taylor can’t wait to serve their new neighbors.
