Local favorite Bayou Cafe is bringing its signature Cajun flavors to Orange with the opening of its third location, Bayou Cafe Express. The new restaurant will be located at 2210 Texas 62, in the former Sonic Drive-In.
Owner Tod Stark shared his excitement about the expansion, noting the location’s prime visibility and accessibility. “I’ve driven by this location many times, and when the ‘for sale’ sign finally went up, I thought, ‘Yeah, that would be a great high-traffic spot,'” Stark said. “It’s close to Orange, Bridge City, Mauriceville — and a lot of cars pass by every day.”
Designed with travelers in mind, Bayou Cafe Express will offer a faster dining experience, ideal for guests from nearby hotels and truck stops. Before opening, contractors will renovate the site by converting the former car stalls into a comfortable dining room. Stark anticipates the build-out will take approximately four months.
Bayou Cafe first opened its doors in Beaumont in 2009 and expanded to Vidor with a second location in 2020. The upcoming Orange location marks the next exciting step in the restaurant’s growth, continuing to serve bold Cajun cuisine to the Southeast Texas community.
Stay tuned for opening announcements and be ready to enjoy a new spot for your Bayou Cafe favorites — now closer than ever!
