Celebrate the Season at the 15th Annual Scarecrow Festival at Shangri La Botanical Gardens

Mark your calendars for a beloved autumn tradition in Southeast Texas! The 15th Annual Scarecrow Festival returns to Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center from October 7 to October 25, 2025, offering free admission for all visitors. Guests can experience the gardens transformed with the magic of fall, open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m.

This year’s Scarecrow Festival invites visitors to stroll through stunning garden paths adorned with dozens of one-of-a-kind scarecrow designs, all created by local community members using recycled and repurposed materials. Each exhibit is a testament to creativity, environmental awareness, and the spirit of the season. Don’t miss the fall floral displays, thousands of pumpkins, and festive autumn décor that enhance this vibrant celebration of nature and imagination.

Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite scarecrow exhibit, with winners announced during the Autumn Fair on October 25. Additional special event dates include Sip & Stroll on October 16, offering an evening of relaxed enjoyment amidst the autumn beauty.
