On Tuesday, December 10, 2024,, the Library will host a FREE Christmas Movie Marathon, featuring family-friendly films that are sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

  • 5:15 PM – Family Switch
    Laugh along with this hilarious body-swap comedy adventure packed with family holiday chaos and heart.

Saturday, December 7th

  • 7:30 am – 10:00 am: Start your day with a delightful Breakfast with Santa hosted by the Kiwanis Club at Spanky’s Bar & Grill
  • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm: Explore unique gifts and holiday treasures, taste delicious treats from food vendors, and enjoy kid activities at the Gumdrop Shop Holiday Market, presented by the Explore Orange Convention & Visitors Bureau. NOTE: Event canceled on 12/4 by Explore Orange due to upcoming inclement weather.
  • 10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Immerse yourself in history with the Stark Family Christmas Open House at the W.H. Stark House
  • 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Enjoy art and festive cheer during the Reindeer Trail Open House at the Stark Museum of Art
  • Throughout the DayMeet and Greet Holiday Characters, including Buddy the Elf, the Grinch, and Max at Stark Park, presented by the Lutcher Theater
  • 6:00 pm: The evening kicks off with a timeless tradition, the Kiwanis 75th Annual Christmas Parade, with the “Red, White, and Blue” theme lighting up the streets of downtown Orange with a spectacular display of holiday lights and patriotic spirit. See the route in the flyer below.
  • Following the Parade: Gather in Stark Park for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and pictures with Santa, a heartwarming moment for the whole community

The Heritage House Museum Hosts Festive Holiday Events

The Heritage House Museum of Orange County invites the community to kick off the holiday season with a day of festive celebrations on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Families, friends, and pets are welcome to take part in two exciting events: the annual Santa Paws photo session and the beloved Candlelight Tours of the Heritage House Museum.

Santa Paws – 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Bring your pets and family members to the Heritage House Museum’s back deck from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM for a special photo opportunity with Santa himself. Pet photographer Lacey Hale of 4 Paws Photography will be on-site, capturing memorable moments for a suggested donation of $10 per photo. This heartwarming event allows everyone—both two-legged and four-legged family members—to get in on the holiday spirit while supporting a local landmark.

Candlelight Tours – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM As evening falls, the festivities continue inside the beautifully decorated Heritage House Museum. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, visitors can step back in time and experience the magic of the holidays during the museum’s Candlelight Tours. Guided by the soft glow of candlelight, guests can explore the historic home adorned with festive decorations, learn about local traditions, and meet Santa along the way.

“The Heritage House Museum is thrilled to welcome the community for a full day of holiday cheer,” said a museum spokesperson. “Whether you’re visiting for photos with Santa or exploring our candlelit tours, we’re excited to share the magic of the season with all our guests.”
